API Keys (CLI)

Create, list, update and delete Babelize API keys (bblz_sk_) from the CLI and use them as BABELIZE_TOKEN for the MCP server, CI and other tools.

Commands

babelize api-keys babelize list

List all your Babelize API keys.

babelize api-keys babelize list
babelize api-keys babelize list --json

babelize api-keys babelize create <name>

Create a new Babelize API key (prefixed bblz_sk_). These keys are used for MCP and external/CI access.

babelize api-keys babelize create "CI/CD Pipeline"

The full key is printed once — copy it now, it won't be shown again. In CI, export it as BABELIZE_TOKEN for platform commands (projects, run, pr, …):

export BABELIZE_TOKEN=bblz_sk_xxxxxxxx

For local translation (babelize start, babelize translate) and the MCP server, set the same key as BABELIZE_API_KEY. On your own machine you don't need a key: being signed in is enough.

babelize api-keys babelize delete <id>

Delete an API key.

babelize api-keys babelize delete <key-uuid>

babelize api-keys babelize update <id>

Rename an API key.

babelize api-keys babelize update <key-uuid> --name "New name"

Provider keys (BYOK)

Manage BYOK provider keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) with babelize api-keys byok:

babelize api-keys byok list
babelize api-keys byok get openai # Show key details
babelize api-keys byok set openai <key> --model gpt-4o
babelize api-keys byok deactivate openai # Disable without deleting
babelize api-keys byok remove openai
