Babelize offers tiered pricing to match different usage needs. This guide explains each plan, what's included, and how to manage your billing.

Plan Details

Free Plan

The Free plan is designed for evaluation and small projects:

  • 10,000 characters per month
  • 3 active projects
  • Community support via documentation
  • Core translation features
  • 30-day revision history

Limitations:

  • No API access for automated workflows
  • Single user only
  • No priority processing

Builder Plan

For individual professionals and small teams:

  • 100,000 characters per month
  • 10 active projects
  • Email support (48-hour response)
  • Full API access
  • 90-day revision history
  • Custom glossaries (1,000 entries)

Team Plan

For growing teams with collaboration needs:

  • 500,000 characters per month
  • Unlimited projects
  • Up to 10 team members
  • Priority support (24-hour response)
  • 1-year revision history
  • Advanced glossaries (10,000 entries)
  • Role-based access control
  • Scheduled exports
  • Webhook integrations

Credit System

Babelize uses a credit system based on source character count:

How Credits Work

  • 1 credit = 1 source character
  • Credits are consumed when translation completes
  • Failed translations do not consume credits
  • Spaces and punctuation count as characters

Translating to multiple languages multiplies credit usage:

Managing Your Subscription

Viewing Current Plan

  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. View your current plan and usage

Upgrading Your Plan

  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Upgrade Plan
  3. Select your new plan
  4. Enter payment details
  5. Confirm the upgrade

Upgrades take effect immediately. You're billed the prorated difference for the current period.

Downgrading Your Plan

  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select a lower tier plan
  4. Confirm the downgrade

Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. You retain your current plan benefits until then.

Canceling Your Subscription

  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Confirm cancellation

Your account reverts to the Free plan at the end of the billing period. Data is retained according to Free plan limits.

Payment Methods

Babelize accepts:

  • Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • PayPal
  • PayPal

Updating Payment Method

  1. Go to SettingsBillingPayment Method
  2. Click Update
  3. Enter new payment details
  4. Click Save

Invoices

Viewing Invoices

  1. Go to SettingsBillingInvoice History
  2. View or download any invoice

Invoice Contents

Each invoice includes:

  • Billing period
  • Plan charges
  • Additional credit purchases (if any)
  • Tax information
  • Payment status

Tax Information

Add your tax ID for invoices:

  1. Go to SettingsBillingTax Information
  2. Enter your Tax ID/VAT number
  3. Click Save

Overage Handling

When you exceed your plan's credit limit:

Purchasing Additional Credits

On Builder and Team plans:

  1. Go to SettingsBillingBuy Credits
  2. Select a credit package
  3. Complete purchase

Credit packages never expire.

Billing Cycle

  • Monthly plans bill on the same date each month
  • Annual plans (20% discount) bill once per year
  • Credits reset at each billing cycle
  • Unused credits do not roll over
